Its getting down to the wire here if you haven’t already bought a present for the geek on your list.  The elf on your shelf.  And by elf I mean from Middle Earth of course.  So from today until the 24th I will give you ideas that can hopefully be easily found where ever you’re shopping today.  No more waiting on shipping, because really its cutting it close at this date.  Today I’ll give you some silly CD ideas.

I know what you’re saying, why buy a CD when everything is digital?  Because you cant wrap up digital that’s why.  This gives a physical object to unwrap and enjoy.  Also, the giftee can then upload the CD into iTunes and feel good that it is one of the few legal mp3s in their playlist.  So what silly crazy geeky thing can we buy for your friendly geeks?

The cast of Aqua Teen Hunger Force sing Christmas carols for you!  Everyone is in character throughout all 12 tracks.  The highlights are Meatwad’s rendition of All I Want for Christmas is My One Front Tooth.  Meatwad discovers what he can and cannot have for Christmas.  The best of the best though is Master Shake telling the tale of ‘Twas the Night Before Jesus.  Do NOT play this song in front of anyone easily offended.  But if you’re not easily offended you will love the hell out of everything on here.

A Twisted Christmas

Dee Snider’s version of Oh Come All Ye Faithful is now my favorite.  Sure, you might think that a hair metal glam band from the early 1980s and Christmas are two tastes that could never go together.  Like sardines and chocolate.  But you would be wrong.  Its so good in fact that even non metal fans, like my better half, love the CD.

Meaty Little Christmas might be tough to find.  But Twisted Christmas is becoming a cult favorite and I’ve even seen it in supermarkets on the random Christmas CD display.
