At Odds with Wrestling Homework – Wrestlicious episodes 5 and 6

Here we go once again with the latest ongoing homework assignment, reliving and reviewing the short lived wrestling TV show – Wrestlicious.

Each and every week without a major wrestling pay per view, the At Odds with Wrestling podcast hosts assign each other something wrestling related to watch and discuss. Throughout 2025 we’re all watching 13 episodes of Wrestlicious, which is like a modern day GLOW but without any of the good parts.

Episode 5.

We open this show in dramatic fashion. Our host, Layla Milani, has been kidnapped. At this point we don’t know who the attacker is, only that she is the “girl from Brooklyn”. We also don’t really know it’s Layla that has been abducted because she is never shown. Someone is shown with a long wig and a close up of boobs, but it could be anyone.

Jimmy Hart welcomes us to the show and in Layla’s spot is her mysterious abductor, Brooke Lyn. Who is also from Jersey.

Tonight’s main event is teased. Is it the main event when it is the only event?

Felony now has her own joke segment in which she is in a green screen jail.

New names are announced for the upcoming battle royal.

Malibu McKenzie, the student nurse, has her own joke segment about take your pills or get a spanking. We’ve seen a lot over these episodes and I’m sure there’s a lot to come, but this is the most porn scene segment of the show so far. If anyone walked in the room while anyone else is watching this episode they would assume some other form of spanking is nigh.

Lil Slamm raps. She has a “bad rap”. Is her song bad or her reputation? Only time will tell. Lil Slamm is also in this week’s Takedown Spotlight, which is the babe in a bikini on the beach photo shoot segment. More research will have to be done but I’m going to say Lil Slamm might have the most impressive abs in the company.

Remember, we’re still waiting to hear the official name of the upcoming battle royal.

This week’s Wrestlicious Rewind is the previous match of Sheraton vs Marley.

Paige Webb has a new “You’ve Got Male” segment and some male friend has sent her a picture of himself in a French maid outfit. I think this is a dated reference because in 2025 Japanese maids are more prevalent than French maids. At least they are in my search history.

Savannah the School Belle teaches us the word “bare”, as in ice cold beer/bare. GLOW had a segment exactly like this that was better. I could say that many times over the course of this show.

We now have three schoolgirls in Detention Hell telling dumb jokes. More on this crew later. Again, this episode has multiple ‘first five minutes of a porno’ moments, none of which actually last five minutes.

In a new segment, Wrestlicious Heroines, we get a comic book adventure furthering (generous use of that word) the story between the wrestlers. If this show came out now I would assume this was very cheap and quick AI art. Maybe Paige Webb was a beta tester.

The Naughty Girls, Hope and Faith, are here. Faith I believe is Portia Perez who I saw many times for 2CW. My first experience witnessing an entire indie fan base loyally fall in love/lust with one talent.

“Halfway house for girls who won’t go all the way” made me laugh way too hard. I’m stealing that line.

Charity comes out with Sister Ophelia. I’ve decided Wrestlicious just loves spending money on women who won’t be wrestling for their wrestling show.

Charlotte and Savannah, the Southern Belles, come out but only Charlotte is cleared to wrestle in this tag team match. Her partner will be Paige Webb.

I don’t mean any disrespect to the person today but Paige Webb is ridiculously hot here, and she knows it too. She plays up her attractiveness so much we get a commercial break before the match even starts.

The Naughty Girls are the heels and actually do a good job with quick tags, referee distraction, and blocking Paige from making the tag.

And in our final porn adjacent segment of the night, Paige is stuck in a headlock but the cameraman lingers on the upskirt shot instead of the actual headlock. I’m really wondering which channels had this on at 12 in the afternoon and which ones had it at 12 midnight.

Everyone takes their sweet time for a hot tag. The tag itself is super slow, the referee slowly sees it happening, and the Naughty Girls spend a lot of time trying to not see it happening. Charlotte gets the hot tag and comes in like a plantation house of fire. In a Double Take segment we see the in ring action but also Charity loading a brick into a purse. Charity accidentally hits Hope with the loaded purse and Paige makes the pin.

In a weird edit we get a Picture in Picture of Brooke Lyn telling us to tune into the next episode and then that’s it for the show.

Episode 6.

“Hoedown Throwdown” will be the name for the upcoming battle royal. Upcoming? It takes place on this episode! Such a big match with so many stars must take up the entire half hour of the show.

Brooke Lyn and Jimmy Hart hype up the battle royal.

Tyler Texas and Cousin Cassie have a Country Quickie in which they tell redneck jokes but play Mad Libs and switch “wrestler” in for “redneck”.

Are you Smarter than a Male Wrestler returns and this week features Lil Slamm against Greg “the Hammer” Valentine. I could make 100 guesses for who will be featured on this segment and never guess right. Name the rapper, MC (blank). The Hammer ironically gets it wrong but Lil Slamm answers correctly.

We are shown Kandi Kisses previous singing debacle.

Kandi Kisses (with the Gumdrops) vs Lil Slamm.

It’s the battle of the music stars. Kandi can’t climb the ropes because she is too uncoordinated I guess? It doesn’t last and she’s able to get things together to actually wrestle a match. Anyone else think Kandi is dressed like Dazzler? Kandi hits a really sad spear. Did she just try for a Shining Wizard? Slamm has a brief comeback but that’s all she needs. Is her finisher called the Crumb Crunch? It’s like an X-Factor but she drops to her knees instead of her butt. Anyways, Slamm gets the win.

The latest Wrestlicious Heroines comic features Lil Slamm getting beat up by Kandi and the Gumdrops. Which is the most action the Gumdrops have seen so far.

This episode’s Takedown Spotlight features Amber Lively (Madison Rayne) for her turn on the beach in a bikini. While the last episode danced dangerously close to porn this segment felt more like the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. Very hot but also respectable. Madison could be proud and not embarrassed by this photo shoot.

We return to Young and the Wrestlers.

Maria Toro drags one of the young wrestlers into the ring by her hair and beats the hell out of her. Just when I said this episode is less incognito window than the previous we have a domination segment. Later that day the trainees are given bread and water. They look disappointed in the food, not because the food itself is bad but because they’re trying to avoid carbs.

The Wrestlicious Wrewind features the tag team match from last episode.

It’s Shauna Na and the Bebop’s at a malt shop. I forget the exact set up for the joke but the sock hop girls don’t know what a booty call is, at least not yet.

It’s now time for the 20 woman over the top battle royal. The final two women will meet in the future to be crowned the first Wrestlicious champion.

The competitors include: Faith, Hope, Marley, Maria Toros, Paige Webb, Tony the Top, Charlotte, Brooke Lyn, Lacey Von Erich, Felony, Alexandria the Great, Autumn Frost, Glory, Draculetta, Tyler Texas, Sierra Sheraton, Amber Lively, Kickstart Katie, Maui, and White Magic. I think I caught them all.

Toros yells at Texas, and the Naughty Girls dump Texas out. I don’t think Toros was ever actually eliminated. The Naughty Girls team up to eliminate a few women. This is only a three to four minute battle royal. Has their ever been a shorter one? The Naughty Girls are caught teaming up and the remaining wrestlers gang up to eliminate them. I’m not going anywhere with this, but Glory has a massive back tattoo that I never noticed before. Icarus level.

Toni the Top, Glory, and Felony are the final three women. I could have guessed 100 times and never would I have thought it was going to be these three in the end. Glory dumps out Toni and it will be Glory and Felony in the future.

There are far better wrestlers than these two and I can’t believe this is who it came down to. I’m going to guess Glory wins the title but we will see that in the future.

One of the Bebops says goodbye to us and that’s the end of the episode.

This show is such a bizarre thing. It’s such a mix of so many things and never commits to one of them. It’s not a wrestling show, it’s not porn, it’s not a variety show. But it tries to be all of them and more. There’s no plan for the show. It doesn’t feel like any stories or segments are planned out. It feels like things were recorded and the footage needs to be used somehow at some time.
