(Time to get to some wrestling and comic talk here.)

Tonight on WWE Monday Night Raw, more wrestlers announced that they will be in the 2025 Royal Rumble. They just walk out, and say they’re in the match. There’s no earning a spot. Except for lower tier wrestlers or when such a thing advances the plot. Thus, in theory there is some sort of logic behind why some people can say they’re in the Rumble but others cannot. The roster of Raw, Smackdown, NXT and any surprises is more than 30 men and 30 women. So not everyone can be in the Rumble. But if one can just say they’re in the match, then how does this stay at the 30 person cap?

First, based off of who has already walked out on Raw or Smackdown to announce they are one of the 30, rule one has to be that any former world champion can be in the match. IF you’ve already climbed to the top of the mountain then you are allowed a chance to do it again.

Second, if a person has won a secondary singles title within the last 2-3 years, or is a multiple time former champion, they can announce their Rumble intentions. Again, a spot has to be earned, but some have earned it through their resumes.

Surprises don’t count for this because that’s the whole point of being a surprise. They can’t earn a spot, or fight their way in, or be announced in advance.

After the top tier talent and surprises take up their spots, how many are left? Let’s say 10-15 spots for the rest of the talent. Those trying to build their careers or those with limited time left in their careers. There’s not enough room for everyone, so what is the final deciding factor? I went through many options and I think I came up with a winner.

Will you look cool during the Rumble?

That’s the last category. Will you look cool? Kofi Kingston or Naomi avoiding elimination. Keith Lee being a big boy. Flips, feats of strength, or even some comedy. Make the most of your minutes. The Chelsea Green spot.
