These Marvel Comics ads come from the early 1980s.  If you couldn’t guess based on the Amazing Friends or Iron Man’s costume.  These posters were created by/for the National Association for Children of Alcoholics, with The Pew Charitable Trusts and National Committee for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Department of Health and Human Services/Office of Substance Abuse Prevention.

While its fun to see stuff from old comics, alcoholism is not a joke.  Take the keys, seek help, have a talk, make the call.  Someone will be in an accident this holiday weekend due to alcohol and there won’t be a super hero around to save him/her.  Be a real world hero today before needing to wish for a fake one tomorrow.
