From Aspen Comics and Siya Oum.
Anything bad about this comic is my own fault.
Lola is a strong woman in a rough world who has lost and sacrificed much in order to live. Its rough, its brutal, and yet somehow she not only finds a way to survive but also to stay true to her positive moral self. She is another great female role model from Aspen Comics.
To reveal more plot would potentially spoil this final issue. If you haven’t been reading the book so far this last issue is reveal reveal twist shock twist gasp shock rinse lather repeat.
What can be talked about though is how Siya Oum continues to be just fucking insanely good. I bought Copic markers just to try to be as good as her. The way she draws eyes, hair and skin tones are unreal. Thankfully she draws the entire issue and is given the chance to shine. Covers and splash pages are one thing but to pace and plot an entire book is where the artist wheat and chaff are separated.
I know so much attention is on universe rebooting and all that crap but how about some attention to a pace that exceeds the speed limit and art that doesn’t turn heads it snaps necks.
