Three matches revealed for National Pro Wrestling Day in Norristown, PA!

On February 8th, we’re celebrating the sport we love during the 3rd annual National Pro Wrestling Day! The festivities start at 2:00 p.m. and will take place at the Greater Norristown PAL Gymnasium in Norristown, PA. The event will be open to the public and free of charge. And just this week, the first matches for NPWD were revealed!

In singles competition, “Smooth Sailin’” Ashley Remington will face Drew Gulak! Remingtondebuted in CHIKARA last season and had impressive showings against Chuck Taylor andJuan Francisco de Coronado, but he will face his toughest opponent in Gulak, who is a world-traveled, former world champion and renowned mat wrestler!

In tag team action, N_R_G wrestles Flying Francis! N_R_G (Hype Rockwell/Race Jaxon) are brand new to the CHIKARA roster and picked up a quick win against the Colony: Xtreme Force at “A New Start,” but they will meet another relatively new and young team from Canada in Flying Francis (Branden O’Connor/Matt Novak!)

The Hot Property Fire Ant will wrestle in a singles match against the Ecuadorian Aristocrat Juan Francisco de Coronado! These two met way back in 2012 and JFDC was successful in that encounter, but who will win when they meet again?

During National Pro Wrestling Day, we’re harnessing the positive power of professional wrestling for a good cause once again! This year, we’re supporting Seva Foundation, which seeks to prevent blindness, restore vision, and create healthy eye care programs for disadvantaged people in 20 countries, including the US and Mexico!  For more information on this year’s charity, visit their website and watch this video on NPWD and Seva!
