Never Stop Drinking Review.

NeverStopDrinking

From Drunken Cat Comics, Derek Baxter, Brian Canini.

Cereal boxes.

That is where this book starts getting bizarre, then funny, then weird, and then hysterical.  So funny you’ll want to finish it and then go back to the beginning because by now you’re laughing so hard the first part of the book is going to be that much funnier to read the second time around.

This is the final post reviewing Drunken Cat Comics (for now).  This independent comic company has a middle finger on the pulse of all that is funny.

The concept of Never Stop Drinking is that our good friends at Drunken Cat Comics collected all the silly doodles that the Drunken Cat himself scrawled on napkins in every bar he stumbled into from coast to coast.  Let me tell you, the Drunken Cat is a sick freak.  But he’s a damn funny freak.  These are quick one page gags.  Far Side with no filter.  The humor is from the farthest side you can find.  I dare say, its from the underside.

The art fits the concept.  It seems rough at first but is actually incredibly well thought through to guarantee every line and dot helps the joke.  Observations, social commentary, and pop culture pokes abound.  Here’s a tease:

Its wrong.  Its so very wrong.  And I cant stop laughing.  I read the joke twice and laughed each time.  I took a picture and laughed.  I laughed again when I attached it for this article.  This is just one page in the book!  One page and I’m losing it 4, make that 5 times.  Guaranteed laughs for your buck.

If you would like to order Never Stop Drinking it can be found at the Drunken Cat Comics site.

Just in case you’re not sure I have one more picture for you.  Yup, still funny.
