First of all, I laughed my ass off at the Phineas and Ferb reference.  Whoever put that one in, well done.

This is by far the best issue of Legend of the Shadow Clan yet.  The family has been developed and the readers are given a reason to care about each one of them.  This issue is the beginning of the family finding out their true history and its guaranteed to be the most action packed comic book on the stands today.

First of all, ninjas.  Not only ninjas but also the promise of even more ninjas to come.  GI Joe is the number one movie right now because of ninjas.  Ninjas are the shit right now.

Even better than ninjas though, some amazing art and writing!  David is doing an incredible job of creating an entire family.  This is a feat far more difficult than it appears to be.  Every member has to be a true individual yet also obviously a member of the family as well.  Unique yet also a unit.  A family has love, routines, expectations, shorthand and secrets.  In one issue we see all of that.  I cant wait to read on and explore this family more, especially now that Grandpa has debuted.

Plus here’s Cory with some amazing action scenes.  The fights are incredible and great scenes of tension are built up with some jaw dropping (or nose breaking) pay offs.  Add in John and Josh to blow my mind and this comic is becoming the highlight of the 10 for 10 releases. Josh has the best bloody sound effects in the business, and in an industry full of stories where people beat up other people that’s saying a lot.  John brings in some of the richest blacks this side of a pretentious HDTV owner.

From top to, well equally as top in the field, the true legends aren’t the Shadow Clan its this collection of creators.
