Sure you may have seen it on YouTube. Actually that WWE and YouTube deal is up, so what will happen with these pre shows? Ah well, that’s not what we’re here to debate. We’re here to talk some wrestling!
Who the hell is Tony Dawson? Anyways he’s hosting with Matt Striker.
Josh Matthews interviews the Big Show. Show is all oiled up and warmed up. I think the World title match will be up first. Kind of makes sense on such a show. Either the WWE title or the Rumble has to go last. The World title match still needs a good spot and putting it on first to get the crowd going is a great idea. Well, first other than the match we’re going to see on the pre show of course.
Big Show says no one can beat him twice. That would be an interesting place to go with a character.
Royal Rumble stats hype video. This really is one of the more fun ones WWE has ever made. I think we all actually look forward to it each year.
Antonio Cesaro (United States champion) vs. The Miz.
Match starts out with both Superstars feeling each other out. Good job of the Miz leap frogging over the very tall champion. Antonio goes for the headlock but it gives the Miz something to fight out of and get the crowd behind him. Miz comes off the ropes and leaps at Cesaro but the surprisingly strong Swiss catches him, spins the Miz around and slams him down. Damn that was impressive.
Is Antonio biting Miz’s ear?!
Great job by Miz getting over Cesaro’s uppercut. That move is only as devastating as the sells and I give his opponents loads of credit getting it over.
The two men appear to be of similar builds, with Antonio a bit taller, but he pulls off power moves that shock everyone. Sure he picked up the Great Khali and we shouldn’t be shocked when he tosses around the Miz who weighs half the weight of the Punjabi Playboy and yet damn these are some great slams and throws.
The Miz with a nasty looking neck breaker and the match may be back in his favor. Nasty as in effective, not nasty as in when a model turned diva tries to execute anything on a neck.
Miz comes off the top and Cesaro avoids it. He’s damn lucky that didn’t blow out his knee. Miz is favoring the leg now and this puts a lot of doubt into his new Figure Four finisher. Miz fights back though and the fans are firmly behind his new finisher. The tease of it gets them on their feet. Antonio rolls to the outside to avoid it.
Cesaro is half way under the ring apron. Miz chases after him and Antonio pulls Miz into the frame of the ring. Its steel on skull. Miz has the skull crushing flipped on him. Antonio rolls Miz back into the ring. The Flair apparent will kick out right? There’s the Neutralizer. This isn’t looking good at all. Antonio Cesaro pins the Miz and all are shocked.
The Miz loses clean. Antonio continues his dominance. Ric Flair’s blessing apparently means nothing!
A very good highlight video for CM Punk vs. the Rock is shown. It succeeded in making me excited for tonight’s show.
Alright, lets get to the Rumble! We’ll see you back here in about three hours!
