The WWE Universe Predicts Tonight’s 2013 Royal Rumble.

Once again the fans of wrestling are united by Solace Winter to give their predictions for tonight’s pay per view.  The Royal Rumble is upon us!  Lets see how the WWE Universe thinks tonight’s show will turn out.

RoyalRumble2013

Starting off with the pre show in which Antonio Cesaro will face The Miz for the United States championship.  A whopping 70% of fans think that Antonio will retain.  That’s a huge group voting against the former WWE champion.

The title reigns continue in the tag team division.  57% of fans think that Team Hell No will continue to hold the tag team titles.  No I think they’ll still be tag team champions.  No IIIII think they’ll still be tag team champions.

With a great and nearly insurmountable 93% of the WWE Universe behind him, Alberto Del Rio is predicted to keep the World title.  The fans are firmly behind this title reign and Del Rio has never been seen as more worthy of a title reign as he now is in the face role.

The crazy thing though is the one match that has had the outcome plotted months in advance is the one with the most debate.  The WWE Title is up for grabs tonight with nearly a 50/50 split.  The Rock has 57% of the fans votes.  CM Punk comes in slightly behind with 42% and the difference goes to that pesky No Contest option with 2% of fans feeling that neither man has an advantage tonight.  We’re even hearing predictions of a three way main event at WrestleMania.

Now for the Rumble itself!  A whopping 54% of fans think that John Cena will be winning tonight.  Never has the Rumble seemed like such a forgone conclusion.  Ryback is trailing at a distant second with 13% of the vote.  Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler tie for third place with 9% of the WWE Universe chanting their names.  The following Superstars received from 4 to 2 votes:  Undertaker, Sheamus, Wade Barrett, The Rock and CM Punk.  I remember last year a big deal was made over the champions and challengers from earlier in the night being allowed to compete in the Rumble.  Without the hubbub for this year, I’m thinking they wont be in the match.  But WWE is known to surprise us.  Receiving one vote each are:  Daniel Bryan, The Miz, Brad Maddox, Christian, and the debut of El Generico.  That’s the exciting thing about the Rumble, anyone could win!

  1. Thanks for the predictions, Kevin; it seems that the percentages were right on the money. I don’t usually get to order pay per view events, because my wife doesn’t like to watch wrestling. Now we have a new DISH Hopper DVR that lets us watch independent programming in up to 4 separate rooms. I got it just because I didn’t want to miss another Royal Rumble match! She was off watching some kind of award show while I was watching the ppv in the living room. When I got to work at DISH today, I talked about the rumble with a few coworkers, and no one was exactly shocked by any of the match results. The winners all seem predetermined, so the only real surprises came when Jericho, Golddust and the Godfather made their appearances; nobody saw them coming.
