Young Justice Red Arrow Arrives at Casa Hellions.

Hey fellow toy lovers, influenced by some of the great toy collectors and bloggers that you can see linked to on that side bar there, I’ve decided to try to post more pictures of my own toy collection.  The Mrs. (hey, I have one of those now!) only has a handful of house rules. No new collections.  That means, even if Transformers toys were suddenly the greatest toys in the world I cant buy them, because I don’t collect Transformers.  Side note: I may have some Transformers stuff to get rid of soon.  Two, they cant be in the “public” part of the apartment.  Damn it, we’re adults!  Lets shove those toys in the second bedroom and let them run amok in there.

Now that the rules are in place, its time to go shopping!  A couple months ago we were in Marshalls’ (Sometimes known as TJ Maxx) on the day that fresh markdowns were done.  Oh those red bars of lower prices could be smelled from miles away.  Thankfully we lucked out and caught one of the Young Justice figures before it got picked up by someone else.

Second side note.  I know for a fact that there is another geeky collector in this area, but I have no idea who it is.  I’ve never met him or her nor been at the same place at the same time.  But, I’ve come back for things at thrift stores or shops like the aforementioned Marshalls and Big Lots only to find the ridiculous geeky thing that only I could want is now gone because this Phantom Collector bought it first.

Anyways.

Thanks to all of these events (and that’s a loose use of the term event) I am now the proud owner of a Red Arrow.  Lets see how Speedy looks in all his glory.

Damn that is a pretty nice figure isn’t it?  Lets take a look at the back.

Well there are some cool figures in this set.  Maybe I’ll find some more figures to add to this collection.  But lets see more from Roy Harper himself.

First off we have some target practice for Red Arrow.  Who the hell is this, by the way?  I’m pretty sure its SportsMaster but not totally sure.  Which also reminds me, I really need to get caught up on Young Justice.  Its a nice set up though.  Part of a wall, little chimney stacks, and some pegs for many posing possibilities.  I haven’t even shown the figure yet and I’m already happy with this purchase.

Speaking of chimney stacks, they function very well for storing arrows.  Lets see which one shall I pick?  Not a lot of space in here.  Barely any room to swing a dead cat.  Too soon?  Man, that was a horrible story.  Anyways, Roy has selected his arrow.  Lets see what’s next for this domino masked Aven… Tita… Young Justicer?

Looks like Red Arrow is embarrassed about that dead cat joke.  “Please no pictures!”  He should be more embarrassed that some petite socialite is playing his character on Arrow.  Hey, you do drugs so lets call you Speedy!  Side note, fuck you Roy!  Ah, I’m kidding.  I do like Arrow pretty well so far.  No need to be ashamed Roy.  Put your hand down.  Lower the bow.

Yeah, that’s how you do this Red Arrow!  Excellent pose.  You look almost as good as that other archer in the huge summer movie.  No, no, its okay.  I mean on the list of cool archers you’re probably, like, 11th.

Jokes aside this is a really cool figure.  He stands well in damn near any position.  The accessories add so much to it.  I’m ready to fire these arrows around the house at lesser figures.  Also, very strange that I have this before a Hawkeye figure.  I really need to get started on my West Coast Avengers collection.

Hi.  I’m Roy Harper.  You may remember me from such proud-to-be-a-comic-book-fan moments as Red Hood and the Outlaws #1.  New 52 for life!  But seriously, if you’re out shopping at one of the close out stores (TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ollie’s, etc.) you could do a lot worse than a Young Justice figure.  I think I saw an Arrowette while I was there and there’s a good chance I’ll be going back for it.  In fact, I cant think of anything that could hold me back.

Danger is afoot!  Let loose your arrows of justice Roy!  Save us all!
