Its that time again! Time for me to be a part of the Solace Winter PPV Predictions group. She works hard and has nearly 100 wrestling fans giving their picks for each and every WWE pay per view.
All of that means I have to be a part of it! Full write up and reasons to follow. For Solace’s ease I have my quick picks at the end of this article.
So, lets get on with the guesses!
Santino Marella vs. Antonio Cesaro
Antonio has defeated Santino multiple times. Its time to get the title off of the Cobra and onto someone with a more respectable character. Plus, if rumors are true that tag teams will become the new focus, why not have Kassius Ohno come out and assist with the win? Then they could eventually go for the tag team titles. K! O! W! Kings!
Kane vs. Daniel Bryan
Please. I don’t know for sure what it is, but there are two guys I am just tired of. Randy Orton (who is not even on the show) and Kane. I find their matches boring, their gimmicks tired, and I have no idea what could possibly be done to freshen up either guy. But the guy who isn’t tired is Daniel Bryan. He is still fun, the more he goes crazy and lets loose the more fun he is. Plus the guy puts on amazing matches. No one gains anything by Kane winning. However, Daniel Bryan needs to continue to look like a main event talent and thus needs to win this one. Daniel Bryan wins.
Miz vs. Rey Mysterio
Rey will always look great. He will always have his fans, his pops and people that pay good money for anything with his face on it. The Miz however is just now coming back from a career low. He needs to be built back up into the world champion he once was. Miz wins.
R-Truth & Kofi Kingston vs. Prime Time Players
Alright, its time to take the belts off of Truth and Kofi. They have barely been a team and have wrestled in more singles matches lately than tag ones. PTP are ready to be given a chance with the titles. Maybe even build them back up, because Kofi and Truth will not go down as all time great champions. Prime Time Players win.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Chris Jericho
What’s that Jericho? You’re leaving again? Going on tour? Yeah, this is easy. Dolph Ziggler with the win.
CM Punk vs. Big Show vs. John Cena
Its the summer, and so far the only thing going on is CM Punk’s kind of but not really heel turn. If he is going to make the argument that as champion he needs to be in the main event, then he also needs to remain champion. John Cena is more interesting chasing the title but failing. The problem with putting any title on the Big Show is that you eventually have to take the title off of Big Show. How to defeat a monster but still have him look like a monster? All of this is to say that I think the only option WWE has is to keep the title on CM Punk. CM Punk wins. Probably by pinning John Cena after a Big Show knockout punch.
Alberto Del Rio vs. Sheamus
He’s not working! No one cares about Del Rio and anytime you put the belt on him fans turn the channel. Okay, so I have nothing to back that up but just assume I’m correct. Sheamus wins. If we’re lucky Dolph will cash in just to make things interesting.
Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar
Brock was already defeated by John Cena, and that was a huge mistake. If Brock is the beast he’s being marketed as then he needs a win. Especially over someone who isn’t wrestling full time anymore. The only smart financial choice here is for Brock to win.
Tie-breaker 1: During the Preshow and PPV, how many Triple H/Brock Lesnar hype videos will show?
5. Probably in between every match. And of course one to start the show.
Tie-breaker 2: How often throughout is Big Show referred to as ‘The World’s Largest Athlete’?
7. 5 by Michael Cole, 1 by who ever does the backstage interview. And one other thrown out there for fun.
Tie-Breaker 3: The color of CM Punk’s gear. (the main color, if it’s mostly green with red and orange, the color is green).
White. Will be a good counter to Big Show’s black and Cena’s camo.

My predictions
Santino wins no way is he dropping the title this time it’s the YouTube match and the face always goes over.
Kofi and truth retain – prime time players have lost there ticket to the titles AW since he’s now been fired there intrest has now dipped and there chances of winning.
Kane beats Bryan – sheen possibly will get involved but I see nothing more than a Kane victory.
Jericho beats ziggler – a loss does not affect ziggler after all he still has the MITB case and Jericho is now a face the last few time he’s left have been as heel persona expect this to be the match of the night.
Miz beats Mysterio – a renewed push for the Miz and he’s only just won the title a few weeks back so no chance of him dropping it to Mysterio .
Sheamus beats del rio – del rio has gained the upper hand on Sheamus for a few weeks and wwe are high on Sheamus at the moment I expect him to retain then either ziggler will cash in and win or tease a cash in.
Triple H v Lesnar no contest – could no decide on a outright winner for a few reasons,Lesnar wins then what?we may not see him again untill Mania 29 buildup, triple H wins what does that achieve?it makes Lesnar look weak losing to big ppv matches, but Lesnar is not bothered weather he wins or loses he does not care about the wwe only about money and he’s getting paid a hell of alot of it,another possibilitie is HBK accidentally costing HHH the match and setting up a rumoured match at Mania 29 between them.
Cena beats Punk and Show – this match is now believed to be closing the show and if reports are correct the current plan is to have Rock beat Cena at the rumble for the title then face punk at mania for the title.
