So it’s been quite sometime since we’ve done anything with the club, but we’re excited to announce our new book/movie club selections for the month of August, STARSHIP TROOPERS!
Most people, including myself, had no clue that Starship Troopers was a book, so we’re going to set the record straight on that. The book is a very different beast from the movie, so much so that the only thing most people remember is that Denise Richards was in it. Whatever happened to her? Oh well, back on track here, The book is amazing, from what I’m told, the DVD was chosen by Peter Travers as a must own, how can you go wrong?

No idea that it was a book? It’s one of the most famous (unjustly in my opinion) sci-fi novels of all time…. And to think that Heinlein originally wanted to publish it as a juvenile (sci-fi for younger readers) is sort of funny. Enjoy 🙂 Heinlein is often rather too jingoistic to be enjoyable.
