Saving with The Linds

It has been awhile since I have posted a “couponing” grocery trip, mostly due to how busy we are here.  We decided to do a late trip tonight, which is always difficult on a Saturday night because tags are changed over for tomorrow (our Tops is 24 hours) so sales can be confusing.  Well, I learned tonight that from 6pm-midnight their computers honor sales from last week (no tags, were changed) and sales for tomorrow (new tags!), woot!

I would like to reiterate here though that couponing doesn’t have to take 4o hours a week, or consume your life.  We spent maybe 4 or 5 hours a week (with shopping) right now, and it is well worth the money!  The show on TLC is EXTREME, and overwhelming!  I am super happy to get around 60% off my grocery bill and keep a small stock pile, and still have a life! Ha ha!

What we got: (4) Kix Cereal, (1) Tops Chicken Soup, (8) Lean Pockets, (2) Almond Accents, (1) Seirra Mist, (1) Welch’s Grape Juice, (3) Suave Body Wash, (6) Air Fresheners, (24) Yoplait Yogurt, (1) Tops Toilet Paper, (1) Gatoraid Recover, (1) Vitamin Water, (1) Dozen Eggs, (1) Marinated Pork Loin, (1) Bunch of Bananas, (1) Bunch of Parsley, (2) Green & Crisp Lettuce and Greens.

I am also posting this to show that you don’t always get crappy food when you coupon!  The eggs, meat, and veggies were catalina coupons (given to you when you check out)!  We also got many coupons through the Tops Monopoly program!

OH!  I almost forgot!  We got gas points too this trip!  Lots of them!  Which total up to 50 cents off a gallon for a full fill up!  I LOVE Tops gas points, and how they work with coupons!

As you can see, our Bonus Card Savings, just for Tops (and not counting manufacturer’s coupons) is $1,219.62 so far this year!  YEAH!
