Avengers Assemble #4

Not only does the Hulk have Hawkeye’s arrows sticking out of him, but somehow he is able to lift Mjolnir.  In the off chance that somehow the Hulk is actually worthy of lifting the hammer, this book is worth picking up.

Batman Arkham Unhinged #3

The way Joker’s suit becomes Arkham is gorgeous.  There’s the steeple but that’s no church you want to enter.

Before Watchmen Silk Spectre #1

Its just, its everything you want comics to be.  Bold colors, characters that look fresh, new, iconic and dynamic all at once.  If you weren’t aware of Watchmen or DC comics or any of that and walked into a comic book store today, this book would be in your hands the moment its seen.  That makes a great cover.

Deadpool #56

I already skipped over one tribute column and chose to not include it in this week’s list.  But this one took me by surprise.  Its subtle, but really not at the same time.  Just comparing a silly Wade Wilson to the bad ass Nick Fury of SHIELD puts a smile on my face.

Fathom #6 (by Alex Konat and Micah Gunnell)

Take your Catwoman #0 cover and shove it.  This is how a strong heroic woman should be portrayed.  At all times!  None of the broke back crap.

Saucer Country #4

Yup.  Wont be sleeping tonight.  Thanks for that one, Vertigo and DC comics.  Dicks.

Ultimate Comics X-Men #13

I don’t know what that is, but it looks creepy as hell.  It could be some bullshit within the book that no one cares about.  But based on cover alone that is bad ass and I just want to know more.  Looks like a great image from a blockbuster sci-fi or horror movie.
