So yeah.  Its all in the headline.  Effective immediately WWE is closing up Florida Championship Wrestling.  That’s the bad news.

Here’s the good news.   WWE will be moving all FCW contracted employees to Connecticut.  Granted its “while they figure things out”, but having the developmental group right next to WWE headquarters is brilliant.

Say you’re sitting there in Titan Towers wondering who the next breakout superstar will be in WWE.  Instead of getting on a plane all you have to do is get in a car and see them at any time.  Its easier for vignettes, promos, training, videos, evaluations, contracts and is an even smarter idea when you consider that the studios for the upcoming WWE TV network will most likely be in Connecticut.

Don’t freak out yet fans.  By the end of the year, there will still be a developmental system.  Fingers crossed my predictions are correct, and if so it will be an even better system that what we fans have now.
