First Image for Charismagic: The Death Princess Revealed. UPDATED with Series News.

One of my favorite artists, Khary Randolph, tweeted a link earlier today to the cover of the upcoming comic book Charismagic: The Death Princess.

Its… its.. its everything I wanted!  I have fallen in love with Aspen Comics’ Charismagic over the last few months.  It is an incredible comic that never phones anything in.  Every issue builds and builds this world of magic with its own rules and history and fantastic characters.  The art is continuously gorgeous through covers to splash pages to the tiniest of panels.  My only complaint has been that the series is only six issues and I want so much more.

Well hopefully Khary won’t get in any trouble for showing this cover, because it looks like “more” has been unofficially announced.  A new series starring Sudana is my favorite comic book announcement so far this year.  Guess what?  No one is actually going to die in Avengers vs. X-Men and not too much status quo will change.  Certainly not for long.  But this?  This is the only the second tale in some expansive world building and I cant wait to read it.

Look at the cover!

A griffin and a dinosaur and new bad guys and Sudana who we had previously only seen in jeans and a shirt riding atop this beast ready for battle.

I could sit here for hours, days even, and debate what magical tales are about to be told in this series.  No matter where my mind wanders nor how great the stories I create in my mind will be they will be no where near the page turning tales that will be contained inside.

UPDATE:
