Charismagic #3 from Aspen Comics Review.

From Aspen Comics, Vince Hernandez, Khary Randolph, Emilio Lopez and Josh Reed.

This issue is another stunner in which characters you thought you had already figured out are revealed to be so much more. Yet with every revelation of a power or of knowledge comes more questions.  Even more, now that a few issues have been releases some things that appeared to be random at first are taking on all new meaning.

Case in point:  thought balloons and inner monologues.  There are multiple times throughout the series in which the character is trying to convince themselves to do or say something.  However, a title as detailed as Charismagic must have another reason for this to take place.  I really feel like the people in this book that are connected to magic have some…thing else that they connect with.

Speaking of connections, while there are a few major characters we’re following to an inevitable collision they are not aware of it.  Samsun is either destroying or exploiting magic, depending on his nefarious needs.  Alle and Hector continue to fight, Hank and Sudana (and Sparkles!) find nothing but troubles in their road trip.  Then of course there is the mysterious Kon.

There is an abundance of information in every book, far more than any reader realizes.  I’ve already re-read the first issues and found buried hints at that which is coming.

Truly a spectacular book and if you don’t mind I need to go finish the next couple issues.
