This week’s edition of the League of Extraordinary Bloggers was a difficult assignment. So difficult that many other members had to be left behind. They told us to carry on, and tell their spouses they loved them. In a war to decide the ultimate badass, there will be casualties. However we must also celebrate those that stood triumphant.
In a minute…
First though Brian at League headquarters, Cool and Collected, challenged me to come up with 16 women for an equal list. They must be human, and they must have been in more than one movie. Challenge accepted. My 16 picks are:
1. Ripley (Alien)
2. Sarah Connor (Terminator)
3. Nikita
4. Alice (Resident Evil)
5. Trinity (Matrix)
6. Princess Leia
7. Padmé Amidala
8. The Bride
9. Lara Croft
10. Lisbeth Salander
11. Sidney Prescott
12. Katniss Everdeen (Hunger Games, which is scheduled as a trilogy)
13. Lady Snowblood
14. Cleopatra Jones
15. Coffy (covering Foxy Brown as a sequel)
16. Cynthia Rothrock (Lady Dragon and/or China O’Brien)
Alright, but now back to this week’s assignment:
I picked Bruce Lee as my winner, and had the bonus best match up description award as well.
Cool and Collected has a battle of covert agents.
Eidetic Memory has many posts on this topic and each one is worthy of your reading.
Freak Studios brings the funny and by Crom! brings the Conan.
That Figures captures my attention with a subtle dig at the PG-13 Die Hard movies.
Revenge from the Cosmic Ark has some incredible well detailed battle descriptions.
Go to Cool and Collected every day to see this week’s League Assignment, last week’s answers, and daily awesome geeky posts. Hell, go through the archives like I did just to see all of the content.
