Wrestling reviews from the one and only Kevin Hellions are back!  I was able to sit and watch WWE Raw and record my thoughts for the first time in a long time tonight.  Instead of telling every tiny little moment of the show, I decided to concentrate on the good and the bad.  The cheers and the boos.  The pops and the… silence?

Anyways…

Pluses:

Sheamus showing surprising agility getting out of the World’s Strongest Slam.  He was parallel to the mat and somehow leaped out of Mark Henry’s arms and landed on his feet to throw the big ole’ Brogue Kick.  Sheamus is an absolute beast now too.  When he first won the WWE title he was not ready.  Now though, give him any belt he wants.

Ron Simmons in the Hall of Fame.  If that WCW World title push took place in WWF instead Ron Simmons would be one of the most famous men on the planet.  He could have been that generation’s Rock.

I’m not sure what to think of David Otunga vs. Ezekiel Jackson.  On the one hand, good for Otunga to get a big clean win.  On the other hand, poor Zeke seeing last year’s push become forgotten by all.

Everything about the Undertaker vs. Triple H exchange.  “Hell in a Cell.”  “Shawn was always better.”  One promo took a match we all didn’t care about because we’ve seen it twice before, and turned it into the main attraction at WrestleMania.  Most likely the last match for both men, this is about to be a historical match that will be talked about for decades.  I really feel that this may sit next to Macho Man vs. Steamboat for all of eternity in the great Mania matches debate.

Santino eliminates Wade, and Truth?!  Who ever is behind Santino’s latest push, keep at it.  He is a very talented wrestler that can do anything asked of him.  This lovable loser turning into the underdog who just wont quit has been an exciting evolution to behold.

Dolph Ziggler has the best kip up in the business.  That is all.

 

Minuses:

Eve Torres talking, acting, anything. She is one of the biggest wastes of talent I’ve ever seen on all of television.  Where does this character and this angle go?  Zack Ryder cant have a match against her.  Nor is Zack close to any other woman to fight in his steed.  Its pointless.

“Vengeance”.  I get it ‘Taker.  You can stop repeating the word now.

Kofi and Truth pinning the tag team champions in their first appearance as a team.  Thus the tag team titles are worth nothing.  Again.  When the valet is the most exciting part of your championship team its time to switch things up.

What ever the hell the Bellas are wearing.  It must be tough to find a store that has trashy horrible looking clothes at all times, and two copies of it at that.

Anything about that match.  Kelly hasn’t been on in awhile.  I still don’t know who Aksana is nor why should I care.  This match didn’t do anything to build the character in my opinion.

There was far too much talking about the Rock and very little actual Rock.

Wade Barrett’s new entrance music is horrible.  Made me want to call into TRL.  That’s not a current reference is it?  It made me want to cut myself.

Wade injuring his arm is a damn shame.

Everyone landing on top of Wade’s already broken arm.

Just everything about Wade tonight.  After having one of the best matches of his career he’s now on the sidelines for months.  WrestleMania months at that.  I will be the fan cheering the hardest and the loudest when he returns.  Barrett has done nothing but impress the hell out of me recently and ‘Mania will be hurting due to his absence.
