“Supernatural” alum Katie Cassidy has been cast as Dinah “Laurel” Lance in the new CW show “Arrow”.  Loosely based on the DC comics character Green Arrow, Arrow will be the tale of Oliver Queen.  Oliver spends five years lost in the South China Sea.  He returns to his home in Star City as an expert marksman and is determined to use his wealth and resources to make his city better.

It is unknown if Dinah Lance will become the Black Canary.  It is also unknown if the character will just be called “Canary” to go along with “Arrow”.  Also appearing on the show will be Lantern, Lightning, Devil, and Tornado.
