The photo above gives you all a brief glimpse at how I visually see the role of Aurelio (yes it is an image from La Dolce Vita, good eye) ;) .

Aurelio is suave, confident, and knows how to get what he wants.  He wants to find that something else in this life.  Like most people, he is searching for the greatness that will give his life meaning.

Though he has come to somewhat admire his two other colleagues, he actually has quite the secret when they all arrive in Venice.  Aurelio has other plans of how he’s going to get out of this mess.  He’s not one to wait around.  He will not go down for their heist gone wrong.

Sonia catches on immediately that he is up to something.  But Aurelio’s the type who would never say anything.  He’s far too smart to let his emotions cloud his judgment.  Though Sonia is proving to be quite the temptation for him.

Aurelio has never really had anyone to confide in throughout his entire life.  Sometimes he gets lonely, but he always tells himself that it’s better this way.  Though maybe there is something to Sonia and Trevor that Aurelio really likes?  Maybe he’s finally found people to confide in.  To call friends?  However he’s the type who would probably try and talk himself out of such things.  To be alone is not to suffer, but to survive in Aurelio’s mind.  And that’s his constant battle each and every day.

If you met Aurelio in a bar I’d be extremely cautious.  His charm will pull you in, though I doubt you’d leave as happily as you came.  Aurelio knows how to smoothly get what he wants.  Regretfully, he would be a great guy, if not for his almost fear of being seen as too weak.

Aurelio is one of the three thieves stuck in Venice, Italy.  And he most certainly does not want to be the scapegoat.
