The nice thing about seeing local shows is that you get to experience bands that you would have had the chance to. Wild Adriatic is one of those; the first time I saw them was at the basement of Olive Ridley’s last month. To say I was blown away is an understatement because this is a band you should be listening to.

Wild Adriatic specialize in fusing pop, rock, blues, and soul together in an amazing fashion. The EP’s opening track, “Love and Loss,” is one of the best opening songs I’ve heard in a long time. It’s so in your face, retains a pop sense, and does so in a way that sounds brand new. “Lion in It’s Cage” steps in from that 60’s soul that blew our minds back then into the future in a band that adapts musical styles wonderfully, and in a way that makes it addictive. And if you’re blown away by this EP, you will be disintegrated with how good they are live.
