Christmas Geek Gift Ideas Day 17 – Homemade Posters.

I know what you’re thinking!  How could I possibly make a poster at home?  For one, there is so much going on that I have to do to get ready for Christmas.  Also, where would I find the materials and the space, and the know how to make one?  Have no fear.  There are places that will do it for you and chances are you have this place in your town.

One of my good friends (who shall remain nameless within this article so his gifts are not spoiled) went on WalMart.com, uploaded a photo, clicked what size poster he wanted, and then got in the car.  By the time he made it to his local WalMart the poster was completed.  $20-$30 then go down another aisle and buy a frame – viola! – awesome one of  a kind gift.

Imagine the look on your geek’s face when they open up a huge framed poster of… themselves!  It could be anything.  Their cosplay character, video game avatar, meeting their favorite celebrity.  Anything.  I’m debating on taking the Team Hellions logo and having that blown up in size.

It doesn’t have to be a geeky thing either.  A family portrait, a favorite picture of the cat or dog, a landscape style picture of their homestead.  There are so many options that can be turned into much loved pieces of art.  Plus, your present will be the biggest under the tree.  Everyone will want to see what lies inside.  You’ll be the most talked about gifter since Santa Claus.
