The Saga…has reached my favorite band
2. This Day & Age – Always Leave the Ground/The Bell & The Hammer (2004 & 2006)
I was fortunate enough to see this band’s last performance before breaking up. My Dad and I went to Buffalo to see it and to this day I have not forgotten it. This is one of my favorite bands of all time and though they only released two albums, they have impacted my life greatly. Always Leave the Groundis very much straight up indie rock for the most part, but the songs are just beautiful. TD&A knew how to write moving songs. I’ve never seen a band create atmosphere quite like these guys do. The Second album, The Bell & The Hammer, is a lot different from the first, its more mature in song and sound. Please, if there is any band on this list to check out…check these guys out!
