5. The Boxer Rebellion – Union (2009)

There is one song that keeps me coming back to this band and it’s a song called “Semi Automatic.” This song takes me to places that are hard to describe, it’s almost a sonic feeling of being in a better place, but does it with this dark undertone. That’s what you get from the lyrics, which seem to describe someone from heaven looking down upon someone else. The nice thing is that while this album is sonically brilliant, it’s also simple in its own brilliant way and well worth the listen.
