My Top 50 Albums of the Decade!: Part 43 of 50

The Saga…love’s Neil Gaiman’s “Murder Mysteries”

8. Cold War Kids – Robbers & Cowards (2005)

This album gives you a lot: southern gospel, indie rock, and blues-rock. They’ve been labeled many as a Christian rock act but that label is not fully accurate. The mix creates a haunting vocal sound, with beautiful music backing. The music creates a mood that is hard to describe; it’s similar to a flashback that you’d see on TV. Cold War Kids has always been a band that was hard to describe, but they’re captivating and you should most certainly listen to this album.
