14. Dear and the Headlights – Drunk Like Bible Times (2008)

I was heartbroken when I heard that Dear and the Headlights broke up this year. This album is one of my all time favorites and it’s a shame they didn’t become a bigger band, they had the songs, they just didn’t get noticed. That’s the one nice thing about Alternative music, you discover bands like this that normally you’d miss. Sonically, this is a wonderful set of beautifully crafted songs, I’m a sucker for highly tuned guitars, but they run the full gambit here. Please just listen to this band!
