27. She & Him – Volume 1 (2008)

So actor Zooey Deschanel and musician M. Ward made an album? Actually they’ve made two now with a Christmas album on the way. The first thing that came to mind with this was bad gimmick, but I was largely largely wrong. This combo works well together; M. Ward was already a fantastic musician and who knew Zooey could sing really well? But the song quality here is as good for any artist or band, the songs are greatly enjoyable and nostalgic in a way.
