My Top 50 Albums of the Decade!: Part 23 of 50

The Saga…tastes like a chicken sangwich

28. The Allman Brothers Band – Hittin’ the Note (2003)

I know this didn’t make a lot of people’s decade lists, but this is a really good album. The only disappointing thing about it is the absence of Dickey Betts. However, with that said, the addition of Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks is worth it! This is some of the best stuff since the 70’s and the hilarious thing too, is the album has stunning artwork on it, the cover alone still gives me goose bumps just looking at it! If you’re a 70’s Allman fan, just give this a try!

Recommended Tracks: “Firing Line,” “Desdemona,” “Woman Across the River,” “Old Before My Time,” “Rockin’ Horse,” “Instrumental Illness”
