Things are getting nasty for our favorite survivors.  Spoilers ahoy in this review.  So only click for more if you want this to be spoiled.

Amanda finds Rick crying.  Rick gives some bullshit excuses for his emotions, but the truth comes out.  He’s worried that Carl is too hard.  That’s a nice way to put it.  Rick is worried that Carl has become a monster.  No emotions, no feelings, just survival.  I’m going out on a limb here.  I think Carl is going to become the main bad guy somewhere around issue #100.  Not a bad guy in many respects.  He’s too young to really lead, or to have other people fear him.  But I think lots of bad shit will happen and Carl will be the catalyst.

In other news, Olivia and Spencer listen to Nicholas’s plan.  Unfortunately Glenn also hears the plan.  Its a stand off that turns into a knock down and Glenn is damn near beaten to death.  If it wasn’t for his great survival instincts he may have become the most recent casualty in the long history of this title.  Glenn runs to safety, and another gun.  All of this buys just enough time for Rick and his crew to return to the Community.  Rick gets his inner Wu Tang clan on and lets Nicholas know that we are nothing to fuck with.

Last issue was a lot of set up and this one is the boil.  People are going to die in issue 90, there’s no other way.  Its very possible that there will be a civil war for control of the Community.  There is no way Rick is giving this one up without a fight.  Its too big, too safe, too self contained.  Rick and those loyal to him will kill zombie and human alike to maintain this little bit of safety in an apocalyptic world.
