Carnal will be a five book series, with the first book starring our mane man from above, Pride of the Lions.  In this world, the beasts have overcome man on the evolutionary scale.  Lions are the noblest of the humanoid animals.  They are leaders and warriors, the proudest of all creatures.  The hyenas live in underground tunnels.  Rounding out this world are the water buffalo who live a nomadic existence.  Whether there are more groups remains to be disclosed, but would you even need any more than this?

The story focuses on Omi, of the lion clan, who must travel to find a missing countryman, and the revelations she confronts along the way.

Gorgeous art and one hell of an original story make this a cant miss book.
