Lets get this straight.  Kurt Angle has spent the last century feuding with Jeff Jarrett.  He was a face in this battle, I think, and nasty things were done to each other during this story.  Kurt then exits out of this plot line and becomes the number one contender.  Sting is …. a heel?  But he’s fighting against Eric Bischoff and company.  But he’s dressed as one of the biggest villains in pop culture.  Anyways, they have a match and Angle is a face.  Until Kurt Angle uses a chair during the match.  This must make him a heel.  Yup, using a chair.  That’s all it takes.  I know I know, Randy Orton used a chair recently and is still a face.  Wrong company.  So Angle uses a chair, wins the title, and appears Thursday on Near Miss Wrestling as a full blown heel.  Sting comes out, and my confusion is supposed to end I guess as Sting is mad at the heel.  Thus he must be a face right?  Angle goes full blown heel and is joined by Hulk Hogan in an attack on Sting.  Angle and Hogan.  Hogan, who is part of the whole Immortal group.  With Jeff Jarrett and Karen.  Who Kurt just spent the last year feuding with.  And now they’re on the same side.  Because Kurt Angle used a chair.

What the fuck TNA?!

If you change which side your wrestlers are on in the eternal battle of good vs evil every week then it doesn’t matter!  Looking through the rest of the roster and I’m even more confused.  Mexican America is intended to be heels, but when there is this heavy uncomfortable cloud of racism hanging over them I want to cheer them on.  Every time some slur is uttered or implied I hope for MA to succeed despite the good ole boy establishment blocking their paths.

Do I cheer for Abyss now that Immortal is against him?  Even though Motor City Machine Guns are cocky do I cheer because its cool cocky or boo because they’re being douchebag cocky?  When the entire X Division is fighting against Uncle Eric do I cheer Austin Aries?

Don’t even get me started on Mr Anderson.  I don’t know what the hell I’m supposed to think about him anymore.

The only, mostly, consistent part has been the Knockouts division.  Madison Rayne has been heel for years.  Tara was her friend but over a long period of time she felt stuck in the partnership.  It was a dramatic rise of Tara becoming her own woman again.  Mickie James is the crazy over like John Cena face.  Velvet Sky is in this long story of becoming a wrestler first and a pretty face second.  Winter and Angelina Love’s possessed story builds every week and when Angelina finally breaks free of Winter the crowd will go crazy.  Because they are invested!  When a story builds and there are reasons behind people’s actions, it matters!  The fans care!  Tickets are bought and money is made!

When CM Punk started his feud with Randy Orton it was alright.  Average, fine, but no investment.  Then Punk reminds us of Orton and Legacy attacking him years earlier, costing him the World title.  Holy shit, payoff!  Investment!  When Angle picks up a chair I don’t get excited.  I get what the fucked?
