In professional wrestling history there are many titles, and many people who have held those titles.  However, still rare are the men who have won the three major titles in one promotion.  The World title, the tag and the secondary title (which I would just say Intercontinental, but you’ll see).  We all know the major triple crown winners like Pedro Morales, Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.  But what about those lesser known men who have accomplished this feat without any fanfare?  Today we take a look at five of those men.

5.  John Bradshaw Layfield

Sure we all remember JBL as the longest reigning champion in Smackdown history.  Also, his tag team of the APA was legendary.  But what about his IC run?  He only had it for one month, beating CM Punk for the belt and losing it to Rey Mysterio. But it counts.

4.  Ric Flair

Flair’s triple crown win took almost twenty years.  He won the WWF World title during his first run with the company.  Then, near two decades later, he picked up the IC belt and the tag team titles (with Batista).  No other champion has taken this long to be part of the list.

3.  Booker T

Booker won scores of tag and secondary titles over his legendary career.  We all know he’s a multiple time world champion.  A 5 time champion!  5 times in WCW, which wouldn’t count for a triple crown in WWE (although he does have this accolade in WCW as well).  Towards the end of his full time WWE career Booker finally won what looked suspiciously like his old WCW title for a fist, yet also sixth time.

2. Eddie Edwards

What? Eddie isn’t in WWE!  True.  But he’s the first and thus far only man to complete the triple crown in Ring of Honor.  There is no doubt in my mind that this young man will win many more titles over his career.  None of those other titles though will make him the first to do something.  Which is why this honor is held above all others.

1.  Dolph Ziggler

This is the trickiest one of the list.  Dolph has held either the IC or US title so often lately he’s all but welded to the belt.  He had a brief less than a day long run, hell less than an hour, with the World title.  But it counts.  Finally Dolph is a former WWE tag team champion.  Back then you knew him as Nicky of the Spirit Squad.
