Ten covers this week!
Also, remember that we are 2 Wednesdays away from the DC reboot. This is the last week for the regular DC titles. There’s a lot of farewells in recent issues. And next week is the single issue that will reset us all.
As always, Team Hellions strongly suggests you buy each and every comic, toy, graphic novel, figure, and related items over at Zeus Comics! http://www.zeuscomics.com/
Astonishing X-Men #41
The X-Men taking on classic Marvel monsters! Holy crap yes! Where the hell have these monsters been hanging out while the super beings run amok?
Daken Dark Wolverine #13
Moon Knight as a shrink?! Is there anyone in Marvel more fucked up than the Egyptian warrior? The Fist of Konshu? Well, who better to tell you your own flaws then someone who has been through every flaw imaginable. I mean, remember Platt?
Batman Incorporated #8
This might be intended as a throwback to the old Digital Justice graphic novel. But I see Tron. Which of course leads to Marvel/Disney thoughts and not thoughts of Batman. Also, nothing to do with the art but man, if there isn’t this black cloud hanging over Grant Morrison’s work this week.
Deadpool #42
I wasn’t going to feature this because I just featured a Deadpool brain cover. But damn that little guy on the left holding up blueprints. If I cant stop laughing (for a good reason) then the cover has to make it onto the list.
Brightest Day Aftermath Search for Swamp Thing #3
Is Deadman also escaping? Flying through? Pushing? Or pulling back? While this story is anti climactic, why re-establish Swamp Thing in a DCU that is about to not exist? Its still an “I need to find out what is going on here” buy the book immediately cover.
Dark Horse Presents #3 Dave Gibbons Cover
Something about this is striking. I don’t know who this is, or the story, or anything. But it pops. Maybe its the big red T. Maybe its the lack of anything else. Maybe the mystery. I think its the red. You could spot this cover from the other side of the store.
Green Lantern Emerald Warriors #13
One punch! Round two!
Intrepids #6
Is it a comic? Is it a band poster? A record album? Don’t care, as soon as I read it its going on the wall as some mother fucking ART!
Superman Beyond #0
In the future there will be one god and his name is Kal-El. Worship this cover!
Gotham City Sirens #26
Goodbye ladies. Goodbye DCU. Its been a hell of a ride.
