1001 Arabian Nights: The Adventures of Sinbad #10
by Dan Wickline & Eduardo Ferigato
Zenescope
$2.99
Or as anyone else would call it from looking at the cover, Sinbad #10.
Sinbad and crew fall into a lake. This being a Zenescope book, two of his crew are women who have large breasts and wear little. They follow an underground river which leads to the mysterious City of the Dead they’ve been looking for. Some mysterious figure sends his minions after them. Sinbad and friends defeat giant scorpions. But then the Skeleton Warriors show up.
First question, if there is a hole in the ground that allows sunlight to be cast on the lost City of the Dead, then why is it lost? Chances are someone would have found that hole.
Speaking of holes our two female characters are a witch and a healer. We’ve come a long way since Gauntlet on NES.
The dialogue is about as good as an NES game. “I do not like the smell of wet dog.” Well good for you, random friend of Sinbad. I can’t overstate the importance of your random friendship. It was only through friendship that the crew were able to defeat the giant scorpions – who were also friends. Its unknown at this time if the skeletons are friends with each other. Questions of friendship is a seldom used cliffhanger.
The art is fine. The dialogue makes Twitter look verbose. They couldn’t even be bothered to write the full title on the cover!
Under the Savor, Snack, or Spit rankings Sinbad is given a Spit.
